Are you tired of dealing with ankle or back pain? Are you feeling unsure about investing time and effort into physical therapy in Logan, Utah, or the nearby areas? Some people try to live with pain because they don’t realize just how easy and helpful physical therapy sessions can be. These sessions can have an incredibly positive impact on your life.

At Spring Creek Medical Center, our skilled physical therapists are dedicated to alleviating pain and enhancing your body’s strength to prevent future injuries. Our goal is to empower you to optimize your body, ensuring you’re prepared to tackle any challenges life presents.

Your First Physical Therapy Appointment

At Spring Creek Medical Center, we know that your first physical therapy session can be a significant step toward improving your health and well-being.

To ensure you feel comfortable and informed about the process, we’ve outlined what you can expect during your visit with our physical therapist.

Paperwork

Like any medical visit, your first step will be filling out some paperwork. By filling out our patient form,  you help us understand your medical history and any specific concerns you may have.

Evaluating Your Pain and Understanding Your Goals

Once your paperwork is complete, our experienced physical therapist, will call you back by name and lead you to the evaluation room. You will be asked about your pain, including when it started, how intense it is, and any specific descriptors that could aid in diagnosis. We’re not just interested in treating symptoms; we want to understand the underlying causes of your pain.

What if I can’t remember when it started or how intense it became? Don’t worry, your answers will provide a baseline and don’t need to be exact. Our trained specialist will work with you to ensure you receive the treatment you need.

One major benefit of working with Spring Creek Medical Center is that you have access to a variety of treatment options. We offer everything from massage therapy to physical therapy and we even have an in-house Chiropractor in Providence to help you if needed.

Additionally, Spring Creek Medical Center will talk with you about your physical goals, aiming to understand what you hope to achieve through physical therapy. By aligning our treatment plan with your objectives, we can work together toward achieving optimal results.

Strength and Flexibility Test

During your session, we will conduct a series of tests to assess your condition comprehensively. These tests may include functional movements, gait analysis, muscle testing, range of motion tests, sensation testing, and hands-on assessments.

Through these evaluations, we can pinpoint areas of concern and develop a targeted treatment plan tailored to your needs.

After a major sports injury occurs, people generally notice a considerable loss in flexibility and muscle strength. Luckily, physical therapy can help you improve quickly. Over time, you can become even stronger than you were before the injury.

Home Exercise Program

At the conclusion of your visit, we will create a personalized home exercise program designed to complement your in-clinic treatment.

We will guide you through each exercise to ensure you understand proper form and technique. Additionally, you’ll receive a detailed program digitally, allowing you to continue your exercises at home with confidence.

Manual Work and Q&A

Depending on time constraints, we may perform manual therapy techniques to address immediate concerns.

we will also address any questions or uncertainties you may have about your treatment plan or exercises before concluding the session.
